・Oe Church is a Romanesque church built in 1933 by French missionary Father Garnier at his own expense.
・The church, situated on a hill overlooking the town of Oe, has become a symbol of the town for both Christians and other local residents.
・Father Garnier, who was also the father of Sakitsu Church, frequently traveled between Oe and Sakitsu via the mountain path known as “Father’s Path” to spread Christianity, thus nurturing a close relationship between Oe and Sakitsu.
・Oe Church houses the woodblock prints of de Rotz, the Father of Shitsu Church in the Sotome area, indicating its close ties with the Nagasaki region.
