・The museum is located within the premises of Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University.
・This museum dedicated to the study of Christianity in particular keeps the annual reports of the Society of Jesus, materials written in European languages in the 16th to 17th centuries, materials from the period of the ban on Christianity, including a noticeboard declaring the ban on Christianity and the “Shumon Aratame Fumie cho” (a record of the inquisition suppressing Christianity), and materials related to hidden and other Christians.
・The museum also serves as the place of practical work for students enrolled in the Comparative Culture Department (renamed the “Cultural Communication Department” in 2018) who wish to qualify as a curator.
・It also has Kirishitan Bunko (a collection of books and materials related to followers of Christianity), Isomura Heiwa Bunko (materials concerning the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and peace), and books related to local history.
