Onjaku stones (crystalline schists) used for the weights of a boat carrying Christians migrating from Sotome to Mizunoura still remain at the site of the residence of the Chokata, who was responsible for administering the observance of the liturgical calendar. Knowing that a temple for Christians had been built in Oura, Nagasaki, Christians living in Mizunoura went to see the Father of the temple by boat, when the onjaku stones were placed at the bottom of the boat as weights once again.
