・Chijiwa Miguel is a member of the four boys dispatched to Europe as the Tensho embassy. After returning to Japan, he withdrew from the Society of Jesus. It is said that he played a role in the persecution of Christians and later went missing.
・There are few historical records about the last years of Chijiwa Miguel, who abandoned his faith. His life, including the year of his death, still remains shrouded in mystery. A stone monument that is believed to be the grave of Miguel was found in Ikiriki, a village where he lived after returning to Japan.
