Kado Shrine is one of three shrines in the village of Ono. Hidden Christians used Kado Shrine, to which they felt a closer affinity in the village, to pray to their own God.
A variety of gods are venerated at Kado Shrine as the community’s guardian deities. It is said that Hidden Christians prayed to their own God as one of those deities.
